After the project officially started in June, ECHOES will hit the ground running at the beginning of the new academic year with its Launch Event taking place on 9, 10 and 11 September 2024 in the Châteaux of Chambord and Blois, in France.
As an introduction, on 9 September, the first annual Public Event of the project will gather many partners and stakeholders, as well as local, national and European figures, in the beautiful French Renaissance castle of Chambord, an important symbol of the vibrant cultural heritage of the Val de Loire.

This will be the occasion to present the project to the audience and to hear from keynote speakers about the importance of preserving both the tangible and the intangible cultural heritage of Europe. The Public event will end with a dinner in the Château of Chambord.
This joyous evening will be followed by a day and a half of various round tables and discussion sessions for the partners at the Royal Château of Blois, another emblem of the region displaying the legacy of several periods in French architecture. Situated at the heart of the city of Blois and only a few meters from the Loire river, the castle will hear the ECHOES partners exchange about community building, policy, communication, and many other topics relevant to the five-year project.
