The Italian Civil Protection Department, with the Ministère de l’Intérieur – Direction Générale de la Sécurité Civile et de la Gestion des Crises (France), the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Regional Government of Castilla y León (Spain), the Ministry of Interior-Disaster and Emergency Management Authority – AFAD (Turkey), the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), the Fondazione Hallgarten – Franchetti Centro Studi Villa Montesca, are glad to announce that the PROCULTHER Final Outreach Conference will be held in virtual mode on next December 15th.
Over the last 36 months, the Project Consortium Partners – with the participation of the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe – pooled their expertise and worked proactively for strengthening a European common approach to advance preparedness and response activities to include cultural heritage safeguard in all the phases of the disaster risk management cycle.
This Virtual Conference of 15 December will represent a showcase for disseminating the project results and a further opportunity to advocate for improved cultural heritage protection capacities within the Union Civil Protection Mechanism – UCPM.
Being PROCULTHER a UCPM initiative, co-funded by the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG-ECHO), all Mechanism Members and Participating States are welcomed to share with us their feedback on the work done as well as their future expectations. In addition, for the widest participation to the event, PROCULTHER Consortium is opening the participation to all International and Non-Governmental Organisations, as well as to experts and professionals active in both the fields of disaster risk management and cultural heritage safeguard.
